[Aseprite] Multi-Loop Layer Template — Scroll / Effects / Walk Cycles

Do you rebuild your frame layout and loop settings every time you start a new animation?

This template has frame splitting, layer organization, and linked cells pre-configured. Place your artwork on the target layer, hit play — the animation runs immediately.

Supports 2–10 frame flow loops and ping-pong (back-and-forth) loops, playable up to 120 frames.

Duplicate any layer from the template folder and it works instantly — no reconfiguration needed.

How to use

1. Open the .aseprite file in Aseprite
2. Choose the layer matching your target frame count, place your art on that cell
3. Press Play — the animation loops immediately

To add more cycles, duplicate a layer from the template folder. Settings carry over automatically. No scripting or manual configuration required.

Important notes

Linked cell behavior — The following actions will break cell links and stop cross-cell syncing:

• Clearing all content inside a cell (deleting the cell itself is fine)
• Moving cells between layers vertically
• Duplicating without an active link
• Merging layers (breaks linked cells on the parent layer)

Requirements:

• Desktop only (Windows / macOS / Linux). Not compatible with mobile.
• Saving and exporting requires the paid version of Aseprite.
• A link to the official Aseprite site and the free version is included in the readme.
